The SurpreNantes Épicerie was created in 2019 in a context marked by increasing student financial hardship. Faced with the difficulties experienced by many students, the association was founded with the aim of offering a concrete, accessible, and solidarity-based solution.

The project aims to provide students with free access to food and hygiene products, while also promoting the recovery of unsold goods. By setting up a solidarity grocery system directly on campus, the founders wanted to create a service close to students, adapted to their needs and based on mutual support.

Since its creation, the association has been part of a strong student solidarity dynamic, aiming not only to provide practical support but also human support, making the grocery a place of exchange and listening.

Its actions are part of the fight against student precarity by providing concrete and accessible assistance. At the same time, the association contributes to the fight against food waste by promoting the recovery and redistribution of unsold goods. This dual social and environmental mission is at the heart of its commitment.
